123TEQ is an independent software company. We develop and operate our own products for businesses and government, and take long-term responsibility for them: design, engineering, hosting, security, maintenance and support.
Our founders, Marc Englaro and Rick Bushell, bring more than twenty years of shared experience building, leading, acquiring and selling technology businesses.
Track record figures refer to the founders’ careers at other companies, not to 123TEQ’s own history.
01Products
The products serve different markets. What they share is how they are built and run: one engineering, hosting, security and support operation, described below.
Enterprise and government
Small business
Sold and supported through each product’s own website.
Attendance, payments and profit per class for dance and fitness studios that run drop-in classes.
Scheduled check-ins and a panic button on the worker’s own phone, for care staff who visit clients alone.
A shared photo and video library that teams search in everyday words, with no filenames, folders or tags to manage.
Edits a business’s own phone footage into short social videos. The owner approves each one before it is posted.
In development: AI voice agents that handle inbound and outbound calls. 123TEQ also publishes consumer iPhone apps (app support).
02How we operate
We do not build software for clients and hand it over. We run what we build, for as long as customers use it. Every product shares the same engineering, hosting, security and support operation.
Engineering
Every product follows the same practices: automated tests, staged releases and controlled access to production.
Security
Our information security management system is in operation, and we are going through external certification with an independent, accredited certification body. The stage 1 audit is scheduled for December 2026.
Operations
Shared monitoring, backups and an incident response process cover every product. Australian customers are hosted in Australia.
Support and continuity
Support requests go to one support desk, with escalation to the founders. Code, systems and procedures belong to the company and are documented, so no product depends on a single person.

03Experience
The founders’ experience includes businesses they started and led, and executive roles at other technology companies. The sales below are part of their own careers, not transactions by 123TEQ.
Founded by Marc and Rick: CRM and telephony integration. Sold to Fonality, 2007.
After the acquisition: Rick as CTO, US cloud telephony; Marc as Managing Director, Australia.
Marc and Rick acquired the CRM business from Fonality in a management buyout, Marc as CEO, and ran it as an independent SaaS company. Sold to Squiz, 2014.
Marc as Chief Product Officer: acquired MiWater from Mackay Regional Council, relaunched it as Aqualus and led the redevelopment of the IoT platform. Rick consulted on the platform architecture.
Marc as CEO: acquired and integrated Patriot Systems and Globe Wireless. Norland Capital sold Permaconn to Five V Capital, 2024.
Rick as CTO, US roadside-assistance dispatch platform. Acquired by Frontenac, April 2026, and merged with CurbsideSOS.
04Founders
We have worked together since 2005, on companies we started and in senior roles at others. 123TEQ is the company we wanted to run next: we build our own products, run them ourselves and keep them.
Every product sits on the same operation and the same security programme, so a council and a two-person studio get the same engineering, security and support. If you are looking at us as a supplier, a partner or an investor, contact Marc and you will hear back from one of us.
