Pluckpix privacy policy
Last updated 9 October 2026. En español
The short version: your photos stay on your iPhone. We have no accounts and never see your photos. The app sends us a few pseudonymous counts, like "a photo was saved", so we know how it is used. The app shows no ads.
Who we are
Pluckpix is an iPhone app made by 123TEQ LLC ("we"). Questions about this policy: use the contact form.
Your photos
Pluckpix removes backgrounds with the image recognition built into your iPhone. It only reads the photos you choose in the photo picker. When you save, it only adds new pictures to your library; it never reads the rest of it. Your photos are never uploaded to us or anyone else.
What the app sends us
To see how the app is used, it sends our server (config.shovelware.ai) short event records:
- that the app was opened, that a photo was cut out (and whether a subject was found), that a cut-out failed, or that a photo was saved, with the time;
- the app version and "ios";
- a random number made by the app when it is first installed, so we can count installs and see whether the app is used again. It is not your Apple ID, your device ID or the advertising identifier, and it isn't linked to you. Deleting the app deletes it; a reinstall or a new phone gets a new one.
The app sends nothing else and fetches nothing from the server. These records never include a photo or anything about one. We don't store your IP address. We don't sell or share them, we don't combine them with other data, and we don't use them to track you across other apps or websites. They are stored with Cloudflare, our hosting provider.
Advertising
The app shows no ads and contains no advertising code. It doesn't use the advertising identifier or any device identifier, and it doesn't collect your location. Nothing the app sends us is shared with advertisers or data brokers.
Children
The app isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices
You can change what Pluckpix may do with your photos at any time in iPhone Settings → Pluckpix → Photos. Because nothing we hold is linked to you, there is no account to delete. Deleting the app removes the random number from your phone. If you want help, use the contact form.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
